Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox, one of the oldest and most storied franchises in Major League Baseball. Fenway Park opened on April 20, 1912, making it the oldest ballpark in MLB and still retaining much of its original charm and character.
Fenway Park is known for its unique features, such as the Green Monster, a 37-foot-tall left-field wall covered in green paint. The dimensions of the field, particularly the outfield, are irregular compared to other modern ballparks, adding to its distinctive character.
The ball park is steeped in tradition, including the singing of "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond during the middle of the eighth inning and the annual "Opening Day" ceremonies that mark the beginning of each baseball season.
Fenway Park has been the site of many historic baseball moments, including Ted Williams' final game in 1960, Carlton Fisk's game-winning home run in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, and David Ortiz's famous grand slam in the 2013 American League Championship Series.
All gates around Fenway Park are handicap-accessible. Gate D has three elevators, and Gates B and E have one elevator each available to fans who require them.
